The problem is not the water

Most of the world's drinking water is already close to safe. What sits between close and safe is a handful of organisms you cannot see, in a container you did not choose, at a moment when you have no better option.

Filters solve that by taking things out, which means a cartridge, a schedule, and a small pile of plastic every few months. STILL solves it by leaving everything in and switching the problem off instead.

Four things worth knowing before you scroll past

  • 01 StainlessSteel

Double walled 304 stainless, vacuum sealed, so the outside stays dry and the inside stays where you left it.

  • 02 Capacity600 ml

Enough for a working day without turning into something you have to carry with both hands.

  • 03 Purifies60 sec

UV-C at 278 nanometres. It does not filter, it interrupts. Nothing is removed and nothing is added.

  • 04 Battery5000 mAh

Around six weeks of daily cycles per charge, over USB-C, on the same cable as everything else you own.

The cap

The whole product is one moving part.

Twist to arm. The lamp runs for sixty seconds and shuts itself off. There is no button to hold, no app, and nothing to remember.

Three finishes

Powder coated over stainless, so the colour is part of the surface rather than a layer sitting on top of it.

Two ways to end up with clean water

Take things out

A filter is a consumable pretending to be a product. It works, it works less well every week, and it stops working entirely on a date you will not remember.

You are not buying a bottle. You are buying a subscription with a bottle attached to it.

Switch it off

Ultraviolet light at the right wavelength does not remove anything. It stops what is in the water from being able to reproduce, which is the part that matters.

There is nothing to replace, so the second year costs exactly what the fifth year costs, which is nothing.
